Urban Loft

Just move your curser over these small photos to view the large ones.

This conversion of a turn-of- the-century sporting goods factory into a live/work residence goes beyond the definition of a normal "loft". Although deceptively simple in plan and minimal in style, it actually took a lot of thought to create such spaces and details. We also incorporated outside space in the design layout by cutting out a private courtyard on the second floor and adding a roof room leading to a roof deck with amazing views on the third floor. The project is the result of a wonderful collaboration with the clients, one of whom is a photographer, gallerist, interior and furniture designer and the other a businessman who became enamored with modern design. Both are avid art collectors, and their artwork is accentuated in the elegant space.
